Managing Phonetics and Archetypes

NOTE: This is only for Raid Hub Server Accounts, none of this will work for a standalone client. There is a dialog which will allow you to override how characters and mobs are pronounced by the Text-To-Speech engine, plus specify archetypes for different characters.

Character Phonetics

Here’s a screenshot of the phonetics dialog:

All players that are setup for you server will be auto-populated in the Characters Tab, plus the current character they are playing. You can add/remove names here as needed. To modify how a character is pronounced, simply type in the Phonetic column next to the name, and use the “Say Phonetic” buttong to hear it. Once you have updated all of the characters phonetics, just hit save and they will be automatically updated on all connected clients. The phonetic name will be used by Detection TTS and Warning TTS variables ${TARGET} ${VICTIM} ${SOURCE} ${TRIGGEREDBY}

Character Archetypes

In addition to overriding the phonetics, you can also set the character archetype in the third column. Archetypes are used to filter spell timers and triggers according to the definition archetype setting. This is an advanced feature of Raid Hub, more details are available in the Spell Timers and Triggers documentation, and the Archetype overview.

Mob Phonetics

Selecting the Mobs Tab will display all known encounters:

All encounters that are configured in all of your definitions (client and hub) will be displayed in this tab. You can add/remove names here as needed. To modify how a mob is pronounced, simply type in the Phonetic column next to the name, and use the “Say Phonetic” buttong to hear it. Once you have updated all of the mob phonetics, just hit save and they will be automatically updated on all connected clients. The phonetic mob name will be used by Detection TTS and Warning TTS variables for ${NPC}
